Canva Hacks: Text Edits

I've come to appreciate Canva for its incredible accessibility, especially for non-designers. For a long time, I was hesitant to use Canva because of my deep familiarity with Adobe platforms. But now I love it! Canva is a powerful tool that enables small businesses to create their own marketing assets, saving both time and money. Lately, I’ve been using Canva more frequently to deliver editable files to my clients, allowing them to easily adjust and reuse the designs as needed.

Using text tricks in your designs can save time and enhance their visual appeal. Here are a few simple hacks that can significantly improve your design process.

Hack #1: Magic Write! With 'Magic Write' you can have your text rewritten for you. If you need the text longer or shorter, if you need to enhance the sentence, or give it a specific writing style, use 'Magic Write'. Canva AI does it all for you. You can even create a custom prompt to specifically meet your needs, and you can create a writing voice for Canva AI to follow.

Hack 2: Canva Style! This is where you can add shadows, outlines, and fun features to your text. It's located at the top bar above the design.

Hack 3: Shape! You can make your text curve in the effects section as well! Same as before, it's in effects below the style section.

Obviously there is a lot you can do with Canva text besides this, they offer a handful of fonts, colors, text options, and more that you can easily find. These were just a few of my favorites. I've really enjoyed exploring Canva lately. It’s such a practical solution for my clients and makes collaboration a breeze. Of course, Adobe will always hold a special place in my heart!
