Hey there, I’m Nat! Thanks for joining. I am here to share my insight as I pursue a meaningful career in design and marketing. I hope what I say inspires you and that it leads to great conversation. I am here to learn from you as much as I share with you.
Who Am I?
What a loaded question. What is the first thing you think of when asked that? In case you haven’t noticed, I am a graphic designer. I am also a wife, a daughter, and a sister.
I am definitely a dreamer too. As a kid, my parents said I was constantly coming to them with “big ideas” that would save the world. My version of “playing” in grade school was attempting to write a book or start a business or charity. What a nerd! But to this day I still love to dream. I think that’s why I am so passionate about design and marketing. I have a heart for entrepreneurship and I want to brainstorm ways to make your business stand out.
Design is art and communication combined. It’s creating something beautiful and strategic. It’s making your business a brand, giving it a voice and a personality. It’s catching someone’s eye. It’s making someone stop and think or laugh or learn. Design evokes emotion. And design’s best friend is marketing. Marketing is the strategy that guides design. This is what I love!
My dream is to be an entrepreneur that helps entrepreneurs. Nat Marie Design was created to collaborate. To treat partners like friends and work together to build amazing brands.
What is Nat Marie Design?
Nat Marie Design has been my dream since I was 18 and now I finally have the courage to make it real. I have been in the design industry for several years and feel I finally have enough experience to go off on my own. Of course, I need your help to make this dream a reality (wink, wink).
I am a people person and I have seen that agency life doesn’t always hold that value as high as it should be. I don’t want to rush through work and look at small businesses as a way to make money. I want to create partnerships and friendships. I want to give you the time and energy to make your vision come to life. If you are a small business, you have put your heart and soul into something you’re passionate about and you deserve a designer that gives you that same heart. I want to be there to help you grow and to win together. All too often I see designers fail in that way. I like to look for the human in everything first. To think of the greater picture. I learn so much from the people I work with and I want to give my knowledge and expertise to them, too.
Fun Facts
All right, work isn’t everything. So here are some fun facts about me.
I love being outside. I grew up in the woods of Pennsylvania. I was a little barefoot wild child running through the forests and it was amazing. As cheesy as it sounds, being outside in nature is where I feel most alive.
With that comes a passion for traveling. I want to see everything. Each piece of the world has its own story and I want to experience it all. I love history and traveling opens up so many opportunities to learn and gather inspiration.
I recently got married and moved across the country! October 29th, 2021 was the best day of my life. I married my best friend and four days later we moved from Southern Ohio to San Antonio, TX. I’ve lived in 5 different states and counting, and Texas is by far my favorite place to call home. I think we finally found our forever spot.
