A Little Backstory
I grew up in Ohio, where creativity and what my dad called “big ideas” were a huge part of who I was. I stumbled into graphic design in college at the University of Cincinnati, and quickly fell in love with the intersection of art and communication.
After graduation, I worked in agency life but always felt pulled to create something different — a place where design could be more human, more strategic, and more collaborative. That vision eventually became Nat Marie Design, a boutique studio based here in San Antonio.
What We Do
At Nat Marie Design, we help businesses move beyond “just a logo.” We build holistic brand identities — weaving together logos, typography, color palettes, patterns, illustrations, websites, and marketing assets into one cohesive story.
Our focus is on building brands that feel elevated, timeless, and true. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions. Every client brings a unique story, and our job is to translate that into design that resonates with their audience and builds connection.
What Sets Us Apart
What I love most is blending strategy and creativity. Branding is about more than visuals; it’s about creating an emotional connection. My studio is known for approaching design with thoughtfulness, intention, and storytelling at its core.
Equally important are the relationships. Every project is a partnership, and I take pride in treating my clients like collaborators, not just customers.
A Project Close to My Heart
One of the most meaningful chapters in my journey has been Uhambo 8286, a nonprofit I co-founded after a life-changing study abroad program in South Africa. What started as a class project has grown into an independent nonprofit that empowers entrepreneurs in Khayelitsha through branding, business planning, and education.
It’s a reminder that design has the power to change lives — something I carry with me into every project at the studio.
Looking Ahead
Building Nat Marie Design has been both challenging and rewarding, and I’m so thankful to be part of San Antonio’s creative community. My hope is to continue helping brands grow with clarity and confidence, while also mentoring and uplifting the next generation of designers and entrepreneurs.
Thank you to Voyage San Antonio for featuring my story and giving me the chance to share a piece of this journey.
